Check-up
We're happy to provide you with a free, totally no-obligation check-up
of your current insurance policies.
If you answer "Yes" to any of the questions below, we may be able to improve
your coverage and save you money in the process.
Yes No
Does any of the information on your Declarations page need updating? Name and
address? Names and addresses of mortgage companies? Coverage limits and
deductibles? Endorsements and personal property schedules?
Yes No
Is your home insured for less than its full replacement cost? Your
Commerce Agent can assist you in preparing an accurate estimate of the
replacement cost of your home.
Yes No
Have you made any additions or improvements to your home that are not reflected
in your policy? Again, your Commerce Agent can assist you with an accurate
estimate of any increased value.
Yes No
Are there any other structures on your property (garages, sheds, work shops,
etc.) which may not be fully covered by your existing policy? Additional
coverage on these types of structures can be added for a small additional
premium.
Yes No
Do you need earthquake insurance? Your homeowners insurance probably does not
cover damage caused by earthquakes.
Yes No
Do you need flood insurance? Your homeowners insurance does not cover flood
damage.
Yes No
Do you own any rental properties, farm properties, and/or vacation homes? These
are not covered by the insurance on your primary residence.
Yes No
Do you have a smoke alarm or burglar alarm in your home? Discounts are
available for homes with alarm systems.
Yes No
Is your home 15 years of age or newer? Discounts are available for newer homes.
Yes No
Do you own a watercraft, including trailers, outboard motors, equipment, etc.?
A standard homeowners policy provides only limited coverage. To adequately
cover these items they should be insured separately.
Yes No
Do you own any computer equipment that you use at home? The cost of replacing
your personal computer equipment may be beyond the limits of your present
coverage if it is used for business. Separate coverage is available.
Yes No
Do you conduct any business out of your home? You may need additional liability
protection if business is conducted in your home.
Yes
No
Do you need to take an inventory of your household contents? If you have a loss
it may be difficult to remember individual items and prove their value without
some record.
Yes No
Do you need replacement cost coverage on your personal property? Most policies
provide Actual Cash Value coverage for your personal property which means that
you will be reimbursed for the cost of an item, less depreciation and less your
deductible. For example, an item purchased for $500 three years ago may only be
worth $300 today. If you had a $250 deductible policy and that item was
destroyed or stolen, you would be reimbursed only $50. With Replacement Cost
coverage the item would be replaced at today's price minus only your
deductible.
Yes No
Do you need more coverage for your unscheduled personal property (clothing,
furniture, household goods, etc.)? Most policies provide personal property
coverage as a percentage of the amount of coverage on your residence (usually
50% to 70%). Even with replacement cost coverage, if you were to have a total
loss you would only be reimbursed to the limits of your policy. Higher coverage
limits are available.
Yes No
Do you have any valuables that may not be adequately covered by your homeowners
insurance? Most homeowners policies provide only limited protection (usually
$500 to $1,000) for theft of valuable personal property such as jewelry, furs,
fine arts, silverware, etc. You can increase your personal property coverage on
such items in total or cover your valuables individually by adding a scheduled
personal property endorsement to your policy.
Yes No
Should you consider a higher deductible? A higher deductible could decrease
your premium.
Yes No
Do you need additional liability protection beyond the coverage limits of your
existing policies? Personal umbrella liability policies can be purchased to
protect you for up to an additional $3 million in case of a major lawsuit.
If you answered "Yes" to any of the questions above, we may be able to
improve your coverage or save you some money...or both. Simply provide the
information requested below and we will contact you.
